quick post for a quick project. even though this hat was a total pain. i am never knitting something at this gauge again– i forgot how hard it was on the hands. knit on size 11 needles with catalina baby alpaca chunky and two colours of caron simply soft, held double and quad stranded. i sewed some elastic around the face so the hubby could stretch it to fit wherever (above nose, above chin, below chin). gave it to him last night and he seemed satisfied, although he didn’t take it to work today– but that could have been because i told him i still had to weave in ends
